Alternative Energy
(Brighton, MI) - Over the past several months, MTI Energy Management / Lighting Specialists, Inc. www.mti-energy.com has been working under a Letter of Agency with McKenzie Bay International, Ltd./WindStor to complete payment to vendors for the products and services needed to complete the installation of a vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) in Ishpeming, Michigan. Agreements have been reached with vendors involved in the project.

The blades are in the final completion phase which includes a foam filling and a skin finish application.

MTI is providing an integrated renewable energy solution for the electrical needs of the Ishpeming Housing Commission by incorporating United Solar Ovonics www.uni-solar.com solar energy technology and Cobasys www.cobasys.com energy storage technology with the WindStor vertical axis system. MTI has contractual agreements with United Solar Ovonics to distribute their thin-film, photo-voltaic solar panels and with Cobasys to sell and represent their Series 9500 NiGuard Nickel Metal Hydride Storage device. The Envitech www.envitech.com systems integration controller will be utilized to link these technologies.
