Green Street Fair, Inc. was founded to help educate and inform people of all ages about the benefits of green, organic, and eco-friendly products and services. To promote global interest and personal well-being, the Green Street Fair, will blend companies, artisans, entertainers, workshops and speakers together in a friendly and family-oriented outdoor environment.
– Green Street Fair, Inc., a joint venture between the owners of Plymouth’s Art in the Park and the owners of Street Marketing, Inc. in Northville, announce the Green Street Fair presented by Whole Foods Market, to be held on the streets of Downtown Plymouth on May 3 and 4, 2008.Consumers who attend the Green Street Fair will be encouraged to learn the advantages of taking strides, large or small, towards living a healthier and greener life. The event will showcase more than 300 local and national businesses displaying, demonstrating and/or selling eco-friendly, organic, and green products. Founders
Dianne Quinn and Raychel Rork, a mother/daughter team and owners of Art in the Park Inc., a twenty-eight year old event management company have partnered with Mandi Buckland and Terri O'Brien, sisters and owners of Street Marketing, a nine year old marketing agency. The four women have worked together for over eight years on Plymouth’s Art in the Park, one of the largest art fairs in the United States. As mothers and grandmothers, they all feel a strong responsibility and a loyal obligation in keeping the world green for future generations.
Mandi Buckland, partner of Green Street Fair Inc., expresses the importance of taking strides in going green. "Going green is a learning process. And though taking great strides will result in a greener environment, we believe that even small steps can make a world of difference. Whether it’s doing a better job at recycling, buying local products or opting to ride your bike to work, every step taken will benefit all of us, for generations to come," states Buckland. "This event is not about preaching or pointing fingers. It’s about educating each other. And like the general public, we too, are learning as we go along."
